After Your Appointment
Restrictions and aftercare advice post treatment
-
Please ensure you keep the treated area clean and dry, patting away any signs of lymph with a damp cotton round.
-
Allow your treated area to completely air dry and the skin to heal over for 24-48 hours before applying the after care ointment provided.
-
Apply the aftercare ointment given at least once a day with a cotton bud if your treated area feels tight and dry. You must wash your hands before and after applications.
-
Use a gentle facial cleanser, avoiding the treated areas, do get the treated area wet.
-
If the treated area does get wet, gently pat dry with a clean towel or tissue. Do not wipe or rub.
-
Do not expose the treated area to extreme heat or cold until fully healed. This includes sunbathing, tanning beds, saunas, steam from hot water etc.
-
Please do not apply Vaseline to the treated area – it will make the area sweat, affecting the healing of the pigmented skin. Vaseline can be used after the 7-10 day initial healing process, and is recommended if you plan to use chlorinated swimming pools or Jacuzzis. You should use it as a protective film when your permanent make up is in contact with strong chemicals like chlorine.
-
Do not scratch, pick or rub the treated area, as this will cause the colour to heal unevenly and could cause scarring or infection.

Avoid touching, rubbing or scratching the treated area. It is very sensitive.

Attention:
It is recommend that a touch up is performed 12-18 months after your initial appointment to maintain the shape and colour. Skin cells turn over more frequently on oilier skin types causing the colour to fade quicker than drier skin types. For oilier skin types they may require a more frequent touch up.
